There were a couple new items released into the Pet Society pond yesterday. I’m not sure if there are more than just these two items, but I haven’t caught any others, and the comments from visitors to this page have not mentioned any additional fish.
Regular Fish – can be caught using any type of bait:

Clam with Pearl:
The clam with pearl is really pretty. It sparkles! Also, if you want to recycle the item, it will give you 100 recycle points, which is much more than the usual 10 recycle points that the other decor items are worth.

I don’t think the catfish has been released yet. I have seen a fake picture of one, but no one I know (or here) has caught one.
If you really did catch one, please post a picture of your pet with the catfish in our the flickr group so we can all see it.

You can catch the sheepfish with any kind of bait. It doesn’t have a specific bait.
first day, first bait of carrot I caught a beautiful clam hahaha… so lucky.
I notice if I didn’t catch any ‘good’ fish (usually a new arrival fish) in my third attempt, I would never catch any of them if I kept fishing until I wasted at least 50 baits/more BUT when I left the pond did other thing then cameback, my first bait always good. TRY!!! ‘
of course you have to know what bait to use.
