As many of you already know, there were new fish released in the Pet Society fish pond. I haven’t had a chance to go fishing yet, but I’ve gathered from the comments that these are the new fish:
Regular Fish – can be caught using any type of bait:
Elephantnosefish (I caught mine with a blueberry cupcake, but it can be caught with any type of bait):
Special Fish – These fish can only be caught using special baits:
Birthday Cakefish – may be caught using the 2000 coin birthday cake from the food shop
The birthday cakefish is so expensive, and there’s unfortunately no guarantee that you’ll catch it on your first try. It’s funny that the candle flame doesn’t go out while you’re fishing with the cake, and the fish still has a flame inside the aquarium!
Decor/Garbage Items – can be caught using any type of bait:
Broken Mystery Box:

2000-coin bait and I could end up with a broken pot? Ugh! My friend told me about this trick but I haven’t tried it. I might though if I’m using a 2000 coin bait!
He said that if you catch something you don’t want, close your browser window immediately. That way, the game won’t have time to save it. When you go back to the game, your bait should still be there. I haven’t tried it because I’m afraid what if it doesn’t save previously caught fish that I *do* want, but if I want the birthday cake fish maybe I’ll just do this over and over for it.
It took me 3 tries to catch the fish. I think this is horrible. I had 1/3 chance to catch the fish, using a 2,000 coins bait…

What bait do you use to catch mystery box?
You can catch it with any type of bait.
I use cheese to get mystery box.

You can refresh and reuse baits for fishing, just like with the Mystery Box cheat. Just don’t accept your fish and refresh. The bait will still be there. It will help with the birthday cakefish.
And it won’t delete previously caught fish, by the way. I used this to catch my birthday cakefish.
i bought 2 2000 coin birthday cake fish and got frontosa on both tries!crap!

there’s a new fish.. it is called a dog fish.. just caught one, i believe you can catch it with any type of bait.. it looks like a shark… i have the picture.. would you like me to send it to you..?

just refresh if you cannot catch the fish you wanted. it’s that easy. unlimited tries in this way
I have been struggling for months now to catch the cheesefish and strawberry fish with no luck. I have used well over 50 of each. Do I need to try to get them in one sitting?? I tried doing like 20 in a row of each without leaving the pond and I still can’t catch them!
It’s just a matter of luck Shoe_Gal. I usually try a bunch of times in one sitting, and then if I don’t catch what I’m looking for, I try the next day.

as for the closing the browser… its easier to have multiple tabs open. close the tab with pet society and then try again in a new tab.
If you are worried about it not saving your previous fish-what i do is go home and put the new fish in my tank and rearrange if needed. I go to a couple stores/have my pet loiter around for a while. then I go back to the pond and try for another fish… normally by the time i’m back at the pond it has saved.
hey i recently saw that you can buy a fishing outfit that will allow you to catch better fish, but i cant find it! where is it?
