Pet Society Flying Fish and Other News October 17, 2009

Flying Fish

My aquarium was acting really strange last night.  Months ago, my fish fell out of the aquarium onto the floor, but this time, my fish were flying out of the aquarium all together.

They wouldn’t stop…they just kept going.  Maybe the fishes were proving they really could fly after I teased them about how they appear to “fly” out of their tanks and in front of the owl in my “outlandish layering” post earlier this week!

After I left the room and re-entered, everything was back to normal.  Has this ever happened to you?

Pretzelfish

I finally caught a pretzelfish this morning!  I was really excited because I’ve been trying to find one for weeks, since the pretzelfish was released September 25th.  I managed to catch a number of clown knifefishes, which I hadn’t caught before either.  I updated that post with pictures of Momo catching them.

Halloween Cake Flame

The Halloween cake’s green flame flickers now! I’m glad Playfish fixed this.  The cake is more fun now with the animation.

Upcoming Dracula Costume

I came across a dracula costume in the stadium today. I’ve updated this week’s Pet Society Stadium Sightings post with the new image.  It looks very cool!

Pet Society World Comments

Lastly, I noticed that after moving my site, all of the comments on Pet Society World’s Fish List were missing, and the page had no comment form to write new comments.  I’ve recovered all of the old comments and you can now post comments on the page again. For some reason, many of the comments appear out of order right now, but  I’ll be working on fixing that as soon as I can. :)

Pet Society Fishing – African Butterflyfish Released October 16th (Set 13) October 17, 2009

A new fish was added to the Pet Society Fish Pond.  It’s an African Butterflyfish. (Thanks Hugo and Yoda for mentioning this new fish!)

It’s a regular fish, which can be caught using any type of bait.  Momo caught hers with a ghost gummy candy that she found while bumping into trees.

A few people have been discussing whether you can get any special fish by using the candies found in the trees as baits.  So far, I haven’t caught any special fish.  However, since the candy’s are food, you can use them as baits and they are great for catching fish.  The best part is that they’re free!

Along with the free-factor, there’s a scare factor as well.  To quote a comment Yoda made yesterday, “Fishing with the eyeball is C R E E P Y!”  It truly is!  Eeeeep!

For more info on the fish and other items in the pet society fish pond, please visit Pet Society World’s Fish List.
