Today, the mayor sent out a message to look for a mysterious character who calls himself “The Great Hideeni.”

Hideeni is black pet with yellow feathers, who can hide in your Pet Society neighborhood in your house, your friends’ houses or in stores around town. He’s either a black pet wearing a rooster costume, or the animal has been tarred and feathered.

My husband’s pet spotted Hideeni while visiting his friends tonight. He’s as tall as our pets and he walks around the rooms.

If you see him, then click on him. He’ll give you this note along with a picture of the prize, a Cute Puppy Plushie:

News that you found Hideeni will be published in your newsfeed, and any of your friends that click on the message will receive a free gift. One of my friends just found Hideeni, so I clicked on the free gift link. Momo got a gift in a purple box.

Inside was the cute puppy plushie. Here’s a picture of the plushie:

Unfortunately, if you find Hideeni yourself, you are rewarded nothing. You have to wait until one of your friends who play find him, and click on the status message posted by your friend to receive the prize. Additionally, you can only receive one puppy plushie, and you cannot sell or gift the plushie to your friends. I’m not sure if there will be additional gifts in the future besides the puppy.
To me, this all seems like a complicated way to pollute facebook newsfeeds with ads for Pet Society. I wish that if I found this Hideeni character, I could just get the gift myself without all this confusing newsfeed nonsense.
Have any of you spotted Hideeni? What do you think of him?
