New Pet Society Items – November 8th November 8, 2009

This week’s Pet Society items are now in the stores.  Get your pet ready for her or his film premiere night!

In the garden shop, there’s nothing new this week.

In the DIY store, there’s a red carpet floor, premiere night wallpaper and premiere red rope.

In the clothing shop, there are lots of cool clothes.  As the “this week’s special” items, there’s a premiere dress, a premiere suit jacket and trousers, and a starlet white dress with matching shoes.  Be careful walking over subway air vent in the dress (very Marilyn Monroe!). As the “just arrived items,” remember that “Diamonds are a Girl’s Best Friend.” If you want to dress your pet up as Marilyn Monroe in Gentlemen Prefer Blondes (the book by Anita Loos is hilarious!), then try on the diamond pink  dress and matching gloves.  There’s also an obsidian bangle, elegant black shoes and an elegant clutch (a purse that our pets can actually carry).  The boy pets get to dress as Elvis, the King of Rock n’ Roll, with the King’s shades, King’s shirt and King’s trousers.

In the food shop, there’s a premiere party cake and premiere cupcake as the “this week’s special” items.

The furniture shop has as its “this week’s specials” a new Pet Monroe Poster, bouquet with fan letter, grey deer plushie (I’m so happy about this because I missed out on getting a deer plushie from Hideeni last week!), and a black retro diner chair.

The “Just Arrived” items include a pet award statuette, a luminous film strip decor, a chihuahua plushie, a retro diner table and a red retro diner chair.

In the luxury shop, there’s a luminous film camera, which is labeled as “glow in the dark” and “interactive.”  I’m curious about what it does.

The mystery shop has a new autumn faerie mystery egg machine.  Looks like fun!

The gadget shop has a new luminous pet cinema sign.

Is your pet ready to see her or his name in lights?  Which items are your favorites this week?

Jack and Enyahj have reported catching a Paradise Fish in comments today. Here’s a picture of the fish, which was caught by Harrison!  Thanks for the news and help!

Momo just caught the fish too.  It’s a regular fish, which means you should be able to catch it with any bait.

I caught mine with a coconut juice, and others have caught it with milk, coconuts, coconut juice, apples, pretzels, and homegrown veggies.

For more info on the fish and other items in the pet society fish pond, please visit Pet Society World’s Fish List.

Limits on Pet Society Collecting November 6, 2009

Today Playfish made a change to Pet Society to limit Pet Society collecting.

“To assist in the continued smooth performance of Pet Society, every pet is now limited to having 20,000 items total, so if you currently have more than this, you will need to choose some to sell back to the store once you load the game.”

Supposedly, if you are over the limit you can choose to gift the extra items to friends.

Unfortunately, there is no counter system in the game to let us know if we are nearing 20,000 items.
