Here’s an update on the Pet Society Tomato Rumors post I made on January 9th. Apparently, the preview of the gigantic tomato on the Official Pet Society Facebook Page was a big error, and Pet Society officials took until today to address their mistake. In a post that is still up, the official Pet Society facebook page reported that “Gigantic vegetables spotted in the Pet Society gardens! Grow your own now and sell it to make a profit!” with a picture of a gigantic tomato.
Since then, many of us have tried to grow tomatoes without success. Today, a Playfish Admin decided to address the tomato issue saying, “Just wanted to let everyone know that there still isn’t a tomato, and not to expect one soon. 
The post that went out on the fan page was a bit of a glitch. 
But there’s plenty of other gigantic vegetables you can grow in your garden!”
The inappropriate use of mocking, winking smileys irritates me, as does Playfish’s “glitch” error posted on their official Facebook page. Momo and I are going back to our regular gardening practices now.
