New new mystery items came out today. In the gold mystery boxes, there’s a Black Carnival Mask and a Cute Cow Plushie. In the purple mystery boxes, there’s a Cactus On A Rock. In the red mystery boxes, there’s a new Milk Tank.

Here are some sightings of upcoming clothes I saw in the stadium today. I’m just making up my own names for the items because I’m not sure of their official names. 
I’m glad there are some items related to the Olympics coming up along with western wear. The Carnival/Mardi Gras item is really late. There may be more new clothes on the way, but I got tired while hunting these up! Hope you enjoy seeing them.

Momo won a white kitten plushie in the lottery today. Most of her friends already have one or even too. She’s happy to finally win one.

I decided to sell both of my petlings back to the store. Every time I logged into Pet Society, they looked pitiful and were begging for foods, and it wasn’t an enjoyable sight. They were a bit too expensive for me and Momo. I feel a bit bad about it, but maybe Momo is all the pet I need.
Bye-bye Lucky and Shady. Hope the Pet Society shopkeepers finds you nice new homes.

There’s a new fish in the Pet Society fish pond. It’s an alien fish, and it can be caught with the alien jelly from the food shop. Thanks Michael for posting the tip in the comments!

Pet Society has loads of new item this week. They’re really mismatched and don’t fall into any single major theme.
In the garden shop, there’s a park bench and island cave (both are “just arrived” items).
In the DIY store, the new items include a city door, porthole window, cloudy sky, city street wallpaper, and city street floor.
In the clothing shop, the “this week’s specials” are a luxurious pirate hat (Pet Society seems obsessed with pirates!), a Kung-fu shirt with matching pants and shoes, and a spaceman shirt with a matching helmet, pants and shoes.
The “just arrived” items include a chic black dress with matching hat and gloves, a wooden bow and arrow, doctor’s coat, camouflage shirt with a matching beret and pants, black leather boots, dark shades, a green feathered cap, and a stylish male wig.
In the food shop, “this week’s special” is pirate punch. The “just arrived” items include alien jelly, a strawberry pancake stack, a lamb shank and a chicken drumstick.
In the furniture store, “this week’s specials” include a pirate cannon, pink bicycle, Jupiter wall sticker, and pancake pan. There are also two items that will float freely around the room, a pink alien spacecraft and a cute ghost toy. The “just arrived” items include buried treasure, a red bicycle, wrapped newspapers, Saturn wall sticker, a colorful parrot plushie, and a green alien spacecraft that will float freely around your room.
In the luxury shop, the “this week’s special” is a black bar counter. The “just arrived” items include a white bar stool, red bar counter, and a spaceship control panel.
In the gadget shop, there’s a futuristic motorbike, pirate lantern, and a vintage camera.
I guess the scramble of themes aimed to appeal to everyone. I guess the pirate hats are really popular, since there are now four of them that have been released since the game started. The bars seem really out of place in Pet Society to me. The spacey stuff is neat. I like the Robin Hood hat, but what does it match? The autumn faerie clothes maybe… Also, I can’t understand why there’s a ghost and vintage camera this week either.
I’m getting really tired of how much Playfish Cash shop stuff is seeping out of the Cash shop into all of the regular Pet Society stores. 
It’s getting impossible for me to avoid the stuff.
The only thing I really wanted to see this week was an Olympic theme, but there’s nothing in the stores related to winter sports or Vancouver.

After Playfish announced that a “Valentine Heartfish” was released in their official blog, no one could catch the fish. Presumably, we were supposed to use the love cherries, but the fish couldn’t be caught.
Eventually, through players’ questions, a Playfish Admin said there was a problem and the fish wasn’t released yet last week. Today there was an update on the non-fish:
“Sorry all, I’ve just checked up on this again, and it seems this isn’t fixed, and may not be getting fixed. 
So effectively it’s not released (as it can’t be caught), and seems it won’t be released (at least in the near future).
If I do hear anything further, I will try and let you all know, but this is the situation currently.”

Since there’s no Valentine Heartfish in the pond, and it doesn’t look like Playfish is going to fix the problem, please don’t waste your love cherries on any other Valentine’s foods to catch the fish. It’s really a shame that there isn’t a single free (non-Playfish Cash) Valentine fish for Pet Society players.

Today, Momo finally caught both the pink diamond and the heart locker. Finally, some onions did the trick for Momo (but you can use any type of bait to catch them). 
Little Bear mentioned in the comments that both the pink diamond and heart locker glow, so I tried it out. Don’t they look neat? I’m sure I wouldn’t have noticed if not for Little Bear!
