Pet Society has a Wizard of Oz theme this week, country furnishings, and lots of new Spring items.
In the garden shop, there’s a tree with poppies as “this week’s special.” There’s also a garden tea terrace for sale and a new rose flower pot and lion petling.
In the luxury shop, “this week’s specials” are an elegant white piano and an emerald throne (10,000 coins!!??!), and the “just arrived” item is an elegant wooden piano.
In the furniture store, “this week’s special” is a pink picnic table. The “just arrived” items include a yorkshire terrier plushie, Mother’s Day cute card and bouquet, blue picnic table, blue mailbox, country rocking chair and wooden seat, flowers wall frames, rose teapot and tea cup, country wooden side table and shelf unit, and a flowers picture frame.
There’s also a big clearance sale going on in the furniture store. All the items in the three pictures below are 50% off the original price.
In the food shop, there’s a new chocolate pastry for sale.
In the clothing shop, “this week’s specials” are a pink nightdress, pink witch dress and shoes, purple witch dress and shoes, granny bonnet, green wizard glasses, granny glasses, purple witch hat, star wand and pink witch crown.
The “just arrived” clothing items include a red country dress and shoes, a red hood, a green wizard shirt, hat and pants, golden wizard boots, a checkered blue dress and bow, and sparkling red shoes.
In the DIY store, “this week’s special” are a cute pink gate and fence, pink roses wallpaper, and an emerald curtain. The “just arrived” items include a green forest wallpaper and floor, antique roses wallpaper, and yellow bricks floor.
The “just arrived” items also include a cute white gate and fence, and a country wooden door and window.
In the gadget shop, there’s an emerald chandelier as “this week’s special.” The “just arrived” item is a pink country lamp.

My favorites are the rose teapot, red country dress, and the new pianos.
I love the Red Country Dress, the pianos, the blue mailbox (the bird is so cute! ^^), and the Yorkshire Terrier Plushie!
And the emerald throne is 10,000 coins?!?! That’s is really an unreasonable price…:( I think it should be at least worth 5,000 coins, or something less than 10,000…
But other than that, all the new items are good ^^
10.000 coins??????? (!@##$^^&**&&%T$%&*(&^%!!!=in my mind) I agree Amaya that’s an outrageous, over-valued and an over-sensational comfort for my emerald fish (just caught yesterday)

i think it’s a bit too expensive. it should be like at most 8,000 coins
its like the blinging gold watch in the luxury shop thats 10,000. at least the throne looks worth that amount the watch looks just like a gold colored watch….
The gold watch is very expensive too, but what bothers me is that the emerald throne is a “this week special” item. If someone did want to buy the throne, it would be quite difficult with only a week to save. The gold watch, in contrast, is one of the original Pet Society items. It’s been around forever, and if someone wants to buy it, they can plan in advance to save enough coins.
Yes, I think is too high a price for a “this week’s special.” If it were “just arrived,” then at least people could choose to save for it. I think the price is too high though in any case.
Yes, there were lots of cute items this week, and I agree that the emerald throne is way too expensive.

I love the update this week. I just hate that the emerald city wallpaper is a cash shop item. I understand why the beanstalk seed is for cash since it opens into a new room, but a wallpaper???
I’m really hesitant to purchase cash coins now especially after my horrible experience with losing 36 cc i paid for. Although <a href="http://petsocietycat.wordpress.com/2010/03/07/thank-you-fellow-players-thank-you-playfish-im-just-so-overwhelmed/"?Playfish tech support more than made up for it, I don’t know if I should risk it again. Plus what about those who don’t want to spend real money?
I guess the challenge will be how to make your own Emerald City without using any of the cash shop items.
I would love to see creative designs from different players.
Lastly, the country stuff are great additions to the tea time items they started last week. I’m really enjoying playing Pet Society now. The new layout took a while to get used to, but they’ve been good with giving us great updates every week — something to always look forward to on a Monday.
Even the new Mystery box sets are wonderful.

I like the country items a lot. However, I’ve noticed since the layout and game changes, the new items seem a bit large and out of proportion with my pet’s room. Any one have this issue? Sometimes when I put something in the room it just seems so oversized!
I know how you feel. The windows take up half of the room and the furniture pieces are so huge! Two weeks ago I spent 5,000 for a stagecoach. And now it’s in my chest and I don’t know what to do with it because it’s so big it covered half the room I originally put in in!
I remember when I first started playing Pet Society in July/August 2009, I found that I had to buy and collect quite a lot of furnishings and accessories to fill up a room. Now the rooms feel cramped.
We can’t always buy wide rooms for 15cc every single time.
I bought the stagecoach too, and like yours, mine was put back in the chest. It’s just too large to work with.
I feel that way too for a lot of the items, except with the new piano, which seems tiny compared to the old ones.
I bought the blue mailbox this week. It’s so cute but it looks huge in my room. I would prefer something more proportionate, but it’s almost as big as my door. Now I don’t know what to do with it. Is it on purpose or do they not realize? I wonder if they’re trying to make things look more cartoony.

I bought the new lamp and it doesn’t glow in the dark. I hope they fix that. Anyone else having that problem?

I bought the pink country lamp. It’s pretty, but not as advertised. It won’t glow in the dark! I did, however, find out that hiding ornaments in a room with a switch is not the best idea…
I had the same problem with the lamp. But that is hilarious about hiding ornaments in a room with a switch.
