Along with the clearance sale in the Pet Society food shop, there’s also one in the market. There are items being sold for 50% off in all three of the market sections. Thanks Owee for pointing this out to me!
I love the star sparklers, so I’m going to get a couple more. I think I’ll get a vintage camera. It was too expensive before.
Is there anything you and your pet are going to buy?
There are a number of potential problems with the Pet Society food shop clearance sale pointed out by Tyson and Passerby. We will no longer be able to catch certain fish, since we’ll be missing the appropriate bait. Additionally, we may not be able to cook certain foods, since the ingredients will be gone from the food shop. I guess Playfish didn’t think about these problems when cleaning out the store. 
Cooking the festive pudding requires the white ribbon cupcake, which will soon be removed.
Cooking the orange cupcake requires the yellow ribbon cupcake, which will soon be removed.
I’m not at a very high level in cooking, so there may be additional problems in obtaining ingredients to cook other foods too.
The pretzelfish can only be caught with the soft pretzel, which is on clearance.
The breadfish can only be caught with the small loaf of bread, which is also on clearance.
You might want to do some cooking and fishing this week. It seems that Playfish and the Pet Society developers didn’t think the clearance sale through very well.

A clearance sale began in the food shop today that will extend to July 11th. This is the first food shop clearance in Pet Society, and a wide selection of foods are now 50% off.
Momo’s really sad that some of her favorite foods will soon be gone. She loves eating samosas and scones, and one of her favorite drinks is hot chocolate.

The Solid Gold Teddy was introduced in the Pet Society market as a new limited edition item last night. Only 50,000 teddies were available for 5,000 coins apiece. Each player could only buy one solid gold teddy per day. Momo and I were lucky to buy one last night, but this morning they were sold out. I don’t think it’s fair that they’re gone in less than a day considering that not everyone lives in a time zone where shopping at midnight GMT is convenient. Many players were at school or work, and the teddies were sold out before they even got home.
Did you have a chance to buy the solid gold teddy? If not, did you want one?
The Easter egg hunt in the friend street was ended earlier than planned. According to a Playfish Admin, the egg hunt was ended early because some players were hacking the eggs to get coins. I find it ridiculous that Playfish didn’t change the price of the eggs to 0 coins, and instead chose to punish all of its players. This change only affects the eggs that used to be found in the trees on Friend Street, and it does not affect eggs collected from Hideeni.
Unfortunately, Hideeni’s Easter eggs are also having issues. Right now, if you click on the button to share the news that you found Hideeni, the window will disappear and no one will be able to collect any eggs.
Updated to add: The Hideeni problem has been fixed and we can collect eggs found by our friends again.
A Playfish admin announced that they mistake in labeling the Easter Green Houses as Holiday Special. It’s actually a “This Week’s Special” item and will be removed from the shops on at the end of this week.
A group of mystery items will be removed this week (generally this occurs on Thursday or Friday). The following St Patrick’s Day mystery items will be removed from the boxes along with three others:
Gold mystery box items – Star Shades, Glossy Red Surfboard Decor, Shamrock Rug
Purple mystery box items – Water Filter Jug, White Shamrock Cushion
I’m not sure if the Cute Mushrooms Decor will be removed too, since I’m not sure if it’s considered a St. Patrick’s Day mystery item. I’ll edit this post if I learn more!
The St. Patrick’s Day items are being removed too soon for my taste.
I was curious whether people preferred the old or the new pianos in Pet Society.
Here’s a picture of Momo standing by the old “Piano,” which used to be in the gold mystery boxes. It’s been removed now, and it’s no longer available. It’s very stately and grand looking. My one problem with it was that Pet Society hadn’t released a suitable stool to go with it. I used to use the wooden stool, which sort of matched he piano in color, but it didn’t match well in terms of style. I think the recently released country wooden seat looks nice with the old piano (though it’s a little lighter). I’m glad there’s finally a suitable looking stool for it!
Pet Society new “Elegant Wooden Piano” was released two weeks back. I bought one thinking it would play music, but it actually just acts as a chair. Your pet will sit on the stool if you click the piano, and the whole piano bounces just like the other chairs do. The new piano is a lot smaller looking than the old one, but it has a matching stool, which is nice.
It’s a bit disappointing that neither piano plays music. Overall, I prefer the older one, which looks grander to me.

Pet Society has a Wizard of Oz theme this week, country furnishings, and lots of new Spring items.
In the garden shop, there’s a tree with poppies as “this week’s special.” There’s also a garden tea terrace for sale and a new rose flower pot and lion petling.
In the luxury shop, “this week’s specials” are an elegant white piano and an emerald throne (10,000 coins!!??!), and the “just arrived” item is an elegant wooden piano.
In the furniture store, “this week’s special” is a pink picnic table. The “just arrived” items include a yorkshire terrier plushie, Mother’s Day cute card and bouquet, blue picnic table, blue mailbox, country rocking chair and wooden seat, flowers wall frames, rose teapot and tea cup, country wooden side table and shelf unit, and a flowers picture frame.
There’s also a big clearance sale going on in the furniture store. All the items in the three pictures below are 50% off the original price.
In the food shop, there’s a new chocolate pastry for sale.
In the clothing shop, “this week’s specials” are a pink nightdress, pink witch dress and shoes, purple witch dress and shoes, granny bonnet, green wizard glasses, granny glasses, purple witch hat, star wand and pink witch crown.
The “just arrived” clothing items include a red country dress and shoes, a red hood, a green wizard shirt, hat and pants, golden wizard boots, a checkered blue dress and bow, and sparkling red shoes.
In the DIY store, “this week’s special” are a cute pink gate and fence, pink roses wallpaper, and an emerald curtain. The “just arrived” items include a green forest wallpaper and floor, antique roses wallpaper, and yellow bricks floor.
The “just arrived” items also include a cute white gate and fence, and a country wooden door and window.
In the gadget shop, there’s an emerald chandelier as “this week’s special.” The “just arrived” item is a pink country lamp.
